The use of antenna/cable or RF (radio frequency) inputs is the most basic
method of connecting a HDTV television to a HDTV source. Older cable
boxes and VCRs often support RF inputs only. RF cables carry both
picture and sound on the same wire. Most other HDTV inputs, however, separate
video and sound to improve picture quality.
Multiple RF inputs allow you to easily switch between
different antenna sources using your remote control.
